Rules Based Discounts

SpryBill’s powerful discounting platform completely separates the criteria (rules) that determine whether the account is eligible for discounting from the target of the discount (the transactions that are discounted). You can create innumerable discount combinations by setting the rules for the target and criteria independently. For example, you can offer a certain discount on international calls for a specific country if the product revenue from a specific product category is over a certain limit.

Target Anything for Discounts

You can target a line of business (all of its products), or all products that belong to a category or even specific products for discounting. You can do the same with respect to usage/consumption charges – target a line of business (all of its usage), or all usage that belongs to a usage group or even specific usage records for discounting. You also have the option to simply discount the account regardless of the transaction type.

Flexible Discount Criteria

The discount criteria specifies rules that must be satisfied in order for an account or transaction to be eligible for a given discount. SpryBill supports comprehensive parameters that can be used to specify the rules that govern the matching criteria:

  • Product Volume – multi-tier volume discounts based on the quantity of the products sold.
  • Product Revenue – multi-tier volume discounts based on the revenue of the products sold.
  • Call Volume – multi-tier volume discounts based on the total number of minutes of calls duration.
  • Call Record Volume – multi-tier volume discounts based on the number of calls.
  • Call Revenue – multi-tier volume discounts based on the call revenue.
  • Total Revenue – multi-tier volume discounts based on the total revenue (products & usage) of the account.
  • Loyalty Discounts – multi-tier volume discounts based on the number of months/years the customer has been with you.
  • Credit Rating – discounts based on the credit rating of the customer.
  • Line of Business Sign-up – discounts based on the specific combination of lines of business that the customer has signed up to. For example, Double Play (Cable + Internet or Long Distance + Internet) or Triple Play (Cable + Long Distance + Internet).
